Each player places an amount of money into the pot before being dealt a set of cards. After the final betting interval, players show their hands face up and the best hand takes the pot. The pot can be split between different players if the hands are of similar value. If there is a tie, the highest ranking pair wins. For example, three of a kind beats two of a kind and a flush beats a straight. You can even win a pot by simply raising your bet. However, be careful when bluffing in large stakes games.
